- GiMA Awards 2016: The Global Indian Music Academy Awards (GiMA Awards) are presented annually by Global Indian Music Academy to honor and recognize best Indian music.
- This year Ayushmann Khurrana will host the event held on April 06, 2016 and will have performances by singers like Arijit Singh, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Sukhwinder Singh while Sonakshi Sinha surprised everyone with her power-packed presentation.
- Songs from films like “Piku,” “Dilwale,” “Bajirao Mastani,” “Tanu Weds Manu Returns” and “Dum Laga Ke Haisha” are nominated in most of the categories
- The star-studded awards night also featured a special heartfelt tribute to Aadesh Shrivastava by legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and Udit Narayan, Harshdeep Kaur, Lalit Pandit, Sudesh Bhosle and Divya Kumar in the presence of his family
